ISIS

Isis Innovation is an enterprise which is owned by the University of Oxford. It was first created in 1988 with the idea of being a technology transfer company. Over time, Isis Innovation has continued to grow. Isis Innovation now has three main areas of activity:
• Isis Innovation works with Oxford University to help its research team commercialize intellectual properties including patents, licenses, and spin offs.
• Isis Innovation is in charge of managing the Oxford University Consulting in order to help the University locate and manage consultancies. It also is in charge of aiding clients to contact experts from the Oxford University research team.
• Isis Innovation, under the name of Isis Enterprise, gives consultancies and counsel in the field of technology transfers in both the public and private sectors worldwide.

Isis Innovation has been incredibly successful in the field of technology transfer. They are constantly innovating new technologies. Some of the most recent developments include the Poxvirus Vector which permits transgene expressions without having to put in exogenous promotion. The health field was also furthered by Isis Innovation with new technologies in lung disease diagnostics and sterilizing medical equipments. The developments of Isis Innovation go beyond just medical fields though. The recent Magentic Navigation system of Isis Innovation is used on smartphones and the Parallel Adaptive Laser Fabrication System helps with versatility of spot lasers.
